Osteoarthritis is considered one of the ten most common diseases in developed countries. It is significantly more common in women, while its frequency increases with age. Aggravating factors can be obesity, occupation, strenuous exercise, musculoskeletal injuries, metabolic and endocrine disorders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Hyaluronic acid is an essential component of the synovial fluid that surrounds the joints and acts as a lubricant and anti-vibration agent during their function. The amount of hyaluronic acid decreases over time and reaching the age of 40 years, 50% of the initial amount of our life, while after the age of sixty it drops to almost 10%. In the joints the composition of the fluid becomes poorer. They become less flexible and the cartilage more vulnerable to wear and tear. At the same time, continuous use irritates the cartilage.
